About

About the Centre
The Glenurquhart Centre is a community care business.
It is owned and run by Glenurquhart Care Project – Scottish Charity SC 023575, registered in Scotland since 1995 as Limited Company No. 157417.

History
The Centre was established in response to a need for local care provision for the elderly and vulnerable in the communities in and around Glen Urquhart and Upper Strathglass. The Centre opened its doors to its first clients on 3 April 2000.

Facilities
The Centre has a spacious, bright open plan lounge and dining area where people can meet and get together. There are also three smaller rooms that can be used as a place to read, watch TV or use the computer.
The kitchen provides a wholesome, home-cooked three-course lunch every day as well as our legendary home baking.
We have a greenhouse where we grow flowers, pot houseplants and raise some of our own vegetables and herbs.
Other facilities include a hairdressing room, laundry, hydrotherapy bath, showers and fitness equipment. We also have a services room for use by visiting care specialists.
In 2012 The Centre became the base for our developing Care-at-Home Service for Glen Urquhart and Strathglass
