Medical doctor,now retired. Graduate of Edinburgh University. Specialised initially in Paediatrics,D.C.H. Later moved to Psychiatry, MRC.Psych. Worked in West Cumberland hospital Whitehaven, then Craig Dunain hospital in general psychiatry. Experienced in memory testing and diagnosis of Dementia. Involved in setting up Cruse Bereavement Care in Inverness.Trained counsellors in Inverness and Moray. 15 years on Child Protection committee. Spent 2 years as research psychiatrist at Inverness Ness Foundation studying Dyslexia and Schizophrenia.Locally, worked with RDA and on Bridge’t venture Board . Chaired local school PTA many years ago.

Nigel is a Partner in the firm of Rural Property Consultants, Strutt & Parker. A Chartered Surveyor, he is a land agent who manages a number of estates across the Highlands and has particular expertise in renewable energy. He also manages a tourism and property business with his family in Strathglass. Nigel joined the Board in December 2016
Retired in 2006 after 35 years as a Psychiatric Nurse within NHS. He managed Nursing Services in Acute Psychiatry and Care of the Elderly with responsibility for up to 120 staff. His Clinical interest is in Anger Management and Behavioural Problems. Before retiring he worked as a Community Psychiatric Nurse and is starting his third 5 year term as Mental Health Tribunal Member. Involved in other voluntary work in care and a Trustee of Kids of Kolkata Dochas Trust a small trust involved with helping children in Kolkata. Allan joined Board in June 2015.
Erik has lived in Glen Urquhart for over 20 years working as a Chartered Insurance Broker. Erik is involved in the community of Glenurquhart as Clerk to the Congregational Board of Urquhart & Glenmoriston Church of Scotland and Youth group team member. For a number of years Erik has been interested in renewable energy and was a Trustee/Director of Soirbheas . Erik joined the Board in February 2016
Retired, to live in Drumnadrochit since 2002, after a long career in the rail industry in a wide range of management roles within the industry, latterly negotiating contracts and managing the interface with train operators and government departments. Since coming here she has had several volunteering roles, particularly as Treasurer of Glenurquhart Public Hall, and as coordinator and an active member of the First Responders team, and also Chair of the Horticultural Society. When time, she loves to be out walking with her dogs, running, playing bowls, singing and enjoying good food and drink! Carolyn joined the Board in December 2016.
Jack Meredith – (Drumnadrochit)
Jack moved to Drumnadrochit in 1987. He qualified as a Barrister in 1997 and as a Project Manager in 2011. During his career in the Energy Industry he served as a trustee, director and compliance supervisor on several corporate and pension boards. He has now retired from full-time employment and dedicates some time to support various community groups. Jack joined the Board in January 2018

Elizabeth worked with Inverness-shire Constabulary after Secretarial College, until marriage, and chose to be a stay-at-home mum to 3 sons. She has lived in Glen Urquhart since 1973, and worked in Glen Urquhart High School for nineteen years. She has been a well respected member of many community organisations, including as a volunteer in The Glenurquhart Centre for the last nine years. Elizabeth was invited and persuaded to join the Board in October 2018

Our General Manager
Pam was appointed in August 2018, having worked in the care sector for fourteen years. As a Service Manager she oversaw the delivery of respite and Homecare to adults and children across most areas of the Highland Region. She then became the Operations Manager for the whole of Highlands and Skye overseeing delivery of respite and Homecare to over 300 adults and children through a workforce of over 135 staff. This actively involved her in delivery of care through SDS Options 1,2,3 and 4 as well as setting up a Community Individual Service Fund project through SDS Option 2. Pam has volunteered with several other charities including Pets as Therapy and Inverness Skating and Ice Dance Club.

Neil MacInnes – (Balnain, Glen Urquhart)
Retired Chartered Civil Engineer, earlier in construction management and design in the UK and abroad, living in Glen Urquhart since 1975. Roles in several Glen Urquhart Community organisations have included Chairing the Glenurquhart Rural Community Association and the Drumnadrochit Medical Practice PPG. Relaxes with hills, and underwater photography off the NW coast. Neil was on the GCP Board from 1995 to 2017
